"For her project, Günnur Özsoy recorded her pregnancy by camera for nine months and ten days and made a film of her troubles of becoming a mother and the first breaths of her baby as if she was a detached and objective scientist. Günnur recorded her body from within and from the outside as her body started to resemble her own amorphous sculptures, points out to two vital spots that we have missed: Being a mother and presenting a new human being to the world. The artist, who portrays the influences of the biological process on the body and on the soul with simple but sharp instances, shows that this endurance is so special and inevitable for life. She lays her body and her intention to be a mother in front of us and illustrates for us how special and tedious this experience is."
