Özsoy intends to create universal language through her sculptures with organic forms employing the different materials like polyester, felt, brass, bronze and marble. Instead of creating gaps with the material, she interferes the space with body and reveals the striking combination of stylistic beauties and conceptual depth.

 

Günnur Özsoy is born in Ankara, Turkey, in 1969. She received a degree in Industrial Design from Marmara University, followed by a degree in Silver Work and Jewelry Design Department from Harrow College of the Polytechnic of Central London. Her works have been widely exhibited in Turkey since1993, including several solo and group exhibitions as well as several public commissions throughout Turkey.
